Inspiration? A how to guide

As most of you can probably work out, 2011 started with a complete draining of my inspiration. Where did it all go? Perhaps it disappeared prior to 2011, but with the mad Christmas rush I failed to notice it skip away, like a naughty child playing hide & seek.

In late december I had a brilliant idea for some cute hair accessories. After doing a quick search of etsy among other places and finding no one doing similar I purchased some supplies and went on holiday. Upon my return I did a trial run, and just before I uploaded some photo's discoverd that someone else out there had the very same flash of inspiration over the Christmas period too.

Of course it is only natural for these things to occur.

So I had a break, and yesterday was feeling in the mood to try something new. Gocco- something I loved but hadn't tried for years sprung to mind. As luck would have it, someone out there in Melbourne had the opposite thought and had advertised their Gocco machine for sale at a more than resonable price. So that is how late last night I made my way home from Brunswick with my own shiny new (second hand) gooco printer.

Brownies!!! Yum, yum

I have the urge to cook a big, big batch of brownies today.  But I'm at work & it has been so hot of late that I dread turning on the oven.

So here is my famous (with friends) brownie recipe.

200 grams Butter
200 grams Dark chocolate
1 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Plain flour
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Hand full of Walnuts/pistachios (optional)

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.  Line rectangular tray with baking paper.

In a saucepan place butter (chopped into cubes) with the chocolate (broken up).  Melt over a low heat, stirring continuously.  Once all melted let cool in saucepan.

Break eggs into bowl and beat with electric beater.  Slowly pour in sugar till all combined.  Add vanilla essence.

Pour eggs into saucepan with chocolate sauce and mix.  This will be very runny.  Add flour & nuts.

Pour into tray and place in oven.  After 10 minutes rotate tray.  Brownies should be cooked between 23-30 minutes.  The key to these brownies is to remove them from the oven when they are slightly undercooked.  The top will look cracked and broken but a skewer will leave moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Let stand for a further 10 minutes in tray.

For extra evilness try with Betty Crocker pre made Chocolate icing.

Eat!!!!
